Mieradome Published!

The Snow Queen

The Snow Queen

I happy to announce that Mieradome, written by my friend Kate O’Hegarty, has finally been published!  You may recall that Kate commissioned me to create character portraits for the official Mieradome website.  I do not believe the book is illustrated, apart from the cover of course.

You may order the book through AuthorHouse.com.  Kate is keeping me posted on other sellers as she works out those deals.  Please don’t overlook the Free Preview featured on AuthorHouse!

What are you supposed to click after landing on the home page of the Mieradome website? I can’t figure it out.

    Hi Dave,

First, we need to hang out again sometime in the near-ish future. Now to business – the Mieradome site is pretty, but in spots it is a wee bit mysterious. To see the artwork I believe you must click on Creative. Personally, I would’ve labelled it Media. Anyway, I think the character illustrations display by default once you click Creative. They are displayed in a looped slideshow.

Thanks, Jeff. There must be something off about the way my computer interprets that page. All I see is a tree, a bird that flys back and forth, and some curtains. No words, no “Creative.”

Dave, my guess is that your screen resolution is much smaller/shorter than is required for the menu to appear. Below the bird you should see a wood window sill. On the design of the window sill/frame/whatever are the menu links. Below the links you’d see the name Mieradome. The shapes to the left and right on your screen are the drapes to this window.

    What’s your screen resolution?

1024×768. It’s not a big deal – I was just interested in seeing your illustrations for them.

Success! I clicked at the bottom between the brown window sill (with no words) and the edge of my Explorer screen. After some trial and error clicking blind, I got to the pictures. Nice stuff.
